Common Questions & Helpful Answers
It's completely natural to have questions before trying a new healing modality. My goal is to ensure you feel informed, comfortable, and completely at ease from the moment you book your session.
What should I wear to my session?
For Reiki, Polarity Therapy, and Restorative Yoga, you will remain fully clothed. I recommend wearing loose, comfortable clothing (like yoga pants or sweats and a soft t-shirt) that allows you to breathe easily and relax deeply. Please bring or wear a pair of clean socks, as your feet are often a focus in energy work!
Is there any "hands-on" work?

Because I no longer offer traditional massage, my work is very gentle.

Reiki can be done with a light, still touch or with hands hovering just above the body.

Polarity Therapy involves very light, nourishing contact on specific points to help balance your energy.

Restorative Yoga is hands-off, though I may assist you in adjusting your pillows or blankets for maximum comfort.

I will always ask for your consent before any physical contact.
What does an energy session feel like?
Every experience is unique. Some clients feel a sense of warmth or tingling, while others simply feel a deep sense of peace and relaxation. It is very common (and welcomed!) to fall into a "healing sleep" during the session.
How long does a session last?
Standard sessions are between 45 to 60 minutes, though I also offer 90-minute "Deep Nourishment" sessions for those who want extra time in Restorative Yoga poses or extended Reiki.
I've never done Yoga - can I still do Restorative Yoga?
Absolutely! Restorative Yoga is not about flexibility or "doing" a pose; it is about "being" supported. We use bolsters, blankets, and blocks to hold your body so your muscles don't have to do any work at all. It is accessible to every body type and experience level.
How should I prepare for my appointment?
Try to arrive 5-10 minutes early to settle in. It's best to avoid a heavy meal or a lot of caffeine right before your session so your nervous system can transition easily into a state of rest.
